Molivos also called Mithymna is located on the north part of the Aegean island of Lesvos. As you approach Molivos you will immediately notice the pretty stone houses built around its Genoese Fort that dominates the Hill. Inhabited since prehistoric times, there remain many signs of these different periods. You can learn about Greek traditions, enjoy fine Greek cuisine, wander around the picturesque harbor or just ly on the beach and soak up the sun. Tourists often use Molivos as a base when discovering Lesvos Island. The municipality of Molivos consists of Villages Molivos, Eftalou, Vafios, Argenos, Lepetymnos, Sikamia and Skala and Sikamias.

The following services can be found in Molivos:

Banking and foreign exchange: These services are offered at the branches of the National Bank of Greece (full branch) and Emporiki (kiosk), which are located around the tourist office. There are three ATM in this area, the two banks mentioned above and the ATM only of Eurobank, which is outside the Hellenic Travel Services office.

Furthermore, foreign exchange transactions can be done at the cambio service called Kasapidis and the major travel offices.

Medical: Both telephone numbers for Molivos’s doctor and dentist can be found in the public services section. The municipality's ambulance is used for transfers to the main hospital in Mytilene.

Citizens Information: A citizen’s information office is located in Agora beneath the conference centre

Photography: Molivos has two photo shops, one on the main road near the entrance to Village, the other near Friends Grill House on the way to the harbour.

Shopping: Agora, the main tourist shopping district sells local specialties, gold and silver jewellery, and a vast array of different kind of souvenirs. The Agricultural co –op run shop (near the Stadium) also sells locally stocked produce.

Markets: The numerous mini markets and newsagents in Molivos offer an assortment of products and during the Summer months offer a variety of foreign newspapers.
